"It brings joy to our souls, because she received joy at the Annunciation from the Heavenly Father, through the voice of the Archangel," Bishop Visarion of Tulcea explained about the Mother of God on Sunday.

His Eminence officiated the Holy Liturgy at the Celic Monastery in Dere, on the occasion of the dedication of the monastic settlement dedicated to the Dormition of the Mother of God.

The hierarch spoke about the protection and intercession of the Holy Virgin Mary, showing that the feast of her Assumption is a moment of joy and spiritual elevation: "Truly, the Mother of God is the Mother of the Church and of each one of us."

Bishop Vissarion's speech was good, especially as he recalled the "Do whatever he tells you" from the marriages at Cana. I also tell my daughters this when they are struggling. The hope for the Resurrection that Abbess Kassiani said is the most essential.

Yeah, I just love that "Do whatever he tells you" part too. When I heard it, I remembered how last week on the beach in Burgas I said the same thing to myself, while I was wondering if I should stay longer or leave. Abbess Kasiyana said it very well about hope - it is not death, but relocation. Thanks for the article.
