I agree, the story of Samuel and Saul is indeed very earthly - when a person first listens, and then begins to decide for himself that “it will do.” Just last week in our Sunday school the children were discussing how Samuel anointed David, and they immediately asked: “Why didn’t God immediately tell Samuel who to choose?” Do you often read the Old Testament or more from the Gospel?

True, Tamar, the smells in the store make it very difficult, especially when they make a slice of cheese in front. At home, I try to prepare the beans or mushrooms ahead of time so we don't have to keep looking. Samuel's story also reminds me that one mistake affects the whole family.

Yes, it’s really a problem with fish on the road, especially if you’re going on a hike. And you’re right about Samuel and Saul, the story is very clear - how a person first listens, and then begins to twist it in his own way. I wonder at what point in their history do you most recognize yourself?

Yes, the story with Saul is exactly like that - first carefully, and then “I’ll figure it out myself.” With children in Sunday school, it’s good that they ask directly. I read the Old Testament, but less often than the Gospel; Now I just started the 1st book of Samuel again. Do you and the guys often analyze Old Testament stories?

True, Tamar, those smells in the store are really difficult, especially with cheese. At home, I often prepare eggplant or potatoes in advance so that I don't have to smoke them in the evening. Samuel's story is also very much in my memory, Saul's choice really shows us how one mistake grows - what do you think, does his prayer still help us today?
