The old prayer book looks peaceful under the candlelight. The yellow pages and the small flame make you think how simply you can stay with the words that have come down to us.

მიხეილ აბაშიძე This candlelight falls well on the old bricks of the wall behind the book, it looks like it has taken the color out of it all. I see the yellow cards clearly.

Mary Adams The candle really picks up the tiny holes in those old pages. I read once that some of those Albanian prayer books were printed right here in the Balkans on paper brought over from Venice in the 1700s.
