Sunday after Elevation
I stopped today to admire this blue faience with golden flowers on the church wall. It is a fine work that beautifully retains its color after all these years.

Claudia Wagner There, I would also like to see the blue tile with the gold flowers.
Николай Христов I also saw it up close, this tile is from the 19th century, specially brought from a workshop in Turnovo. Holds the color well, you're right.
Галина Михайлова Yes, the color really lasts. We also have similar ceramics with gilding in one old Russian church in New York, only it is from the 1880s, brought from Kyiv.
Елена Орлова And there is an interesting story with these faience tiles. What church is it located in? Can you go there just like that or just for a service? When is the liturgy usually held there on weekends?
Milan Milošević Yes, I would also like to see that tile up close. What church is it in?
Кирил Стоянов Is she from Tarnovo? I didn't know. What time exactly do they serve on Sundays there?
Дмитрий Новиков Yes, the tiles are from Tarnovo; the workshop operated there until the 1890s. In the church, the liturgy on Sundays begins at 8:30, you can go earlier, the door is usually open.
