Катерина Ангеловска Yes, in such light the letters are clearly visible even without a lamp. Here in Bitola, old books from the 19th century often have handwritten notes in the margins in pencil.
Иванка Стоянова My grandmother had a book like this from the 1930s, the pages were yellowed just like in the picture. In Plovdiv, the metropolitan library keeps several old prayer books with seals from 1885.
