It is located on top of a rocky cliff 373 meters (1,224 ft) above the valley floor. Founded in 1517, it is one of the twenty-four monasteries originally built in Meteora. Христо Василев I can see how the bricks on the wall are lined up pretty evenly, even from this height they look solid. Services there start at 6am last I heard.

Marie Černá Thanks for the photo. According to what Chisto writes, they start at six, but I don't know if it applies all year round.
