☦ Voronets - Bukovina, Romania Voronet Monastery is a medieval monastery in the Romanian village of Voronet, now part of the city of Gura Humorului. This is one of the famous painted monasteries of southern Bukovina, in Suceava County. The monastery was built by Stephen the Great in 1488 in 3 months and 3 weeks to commemorate the victory in the Battle of Vaslui. Photo: Dstefanescu Public domain
