Ne te quaesiveris extra. Don't look for yourself from outside. Three notes are contained in this section. Some of them give the exact coordinates of excerpts placed in the text itself. Others have the task of completing, clarifying, or enriching the provisions of the book with additional details. Finally, notes of the third kind serve as a bibliographic aid to the reader who would like to independently consider one or another issue discussed in this work. Bearing in mind the generally accessible nature of the entire book, I have always tried in these, so to speak, “extensive” notes to provide references to Russian literature - firstly, because Russian bibliography in general is relatively poorly developed, while for foreign bibliography there are numerous reference books, and, secondly, because the books I indicate, both in language and in place of publication, are more accessible to the average reader. However, at the same time, it was not in my mind to pursue exhaustive completeness of instructions: only some books are mentioned for the closest acquaintance with the literature of the issue. But, in relation to the writings of paternal and classical philosophers, having given the title of the works in Russian, I considered myself entitled to be content with a reference to the original, especially since, according to the instructions given, it is not worth any effort to find the corresponding place in the Russian translation of them.
