His Eminence Philaret, Metropolitan of Kiev, honored our monastery with his visit on the 20th of this day, at 5 o’clock in the afternoon; and with his arrival, the grace of God was sent down to our places - beneficial rain fell on the parched land and watered its plants; and a spiritual rain of consolation descended on the earth of our hearts with his archpastoral blessing; his archpastoral love and favorable treatment sweetened our hearts; Before the all-night vigil, he served a memorial service for D.B., and immediately honored the late priest, Father Leo, with a lithium on his coffin. During the all-night vigil he visited our monastery and listened to it until the canon; and the next day at 6 o’clock he came to us and listened to the liturgy; visited some of the cells of our brothers, returned to the monastery and at 10 o’clock went to K., where he ate at B. I believe that Vladyka will visit both your city and your monastery, and bless you all. Your sisters show their respect to you and ask for your prayers, and I earnestly bow to all your mothers and sisters; I received letters from many, but I still haven’t read some. Mnogohreshny I.M.
