Not only in Armenia and not only in the Cappadacian country, but also in more distant lands, the rumor about your love and the affection that you have always shown to us, thundered more solemnly than a trumpet. Considering it our greatest honor to have your reverence towards us, we, for our part, do not cease to glorify you and earnestly ask you to constantly write to us about your health. Although we live in the desert, although we are far removed from you, for all this we are connected with you by bonds of love, having for you the same affection that we have shown for your honesty from time immemorial, or even now even more ardent and lively. Neither the length of time nor the distance made us more indifferent - on the contrary, they made us more disposed towards you. Knowing this, my most honest and reverent master, and understanding what pleasure you will give us by more frequent correspondence with us, write to us about your health, but especially always remember us in your holy prayers, so that in this way, despite the remoteness of the distance, we can benefit from your many assistance.
