And for sending the most honest presbyter to visit us, and for the letter, I offer great gratitude to your reverence, most honest Bishop. Both are a sign of sincere love and warm affection. Through this, and living in the desert, we receive great consolation. To have such worthy husbands as such ardent adherents is a source of considerable encouragement to those who enjoy their love. I would like to see your reverence in person and enjoy your most pleasant company. But since this is impossible (it is impossible for me, and your honesty, when caring about your own church, is inconvenient), then, of necessity, you have to resort to another means and look for consolation in letters. And a letter imbued with sincere love can serve as a consolation in separation. So, in order to constantly maintain this consolation in us, do not make it difficult to write to us about your health as often as possible and feasible. We consider your friendship to be the greatest treasure and an inexhaustible supply of all blessings. And if we have the pleasure of receiving this kind of benefit, that is, your letters, constantly, then the desert here will not let us feel itself, since your messages will bring us great joy.
