Now we see with the things themselves revealed, as sins for the sake of ours, both through the condonation and wrath of God, and through the action of the common adversary to Orthodoxy and the destroyer of our souls, the devil, and also heresy for the sake of the apostate of the Orthodox Christian faith, Isidore’s disciple Gregory, rejected from the holy cathedral church and damned (formerly like-minded people and teachers of the Florence Latin Council), who calls himself the Metropolitan of Kyiv, and their confusion for the sake of Orthodoxy, the division of 2788 the holy churches of God, the Moscow cathedral church with the Kyiv church, and in that division great destruction came to Orthodoxy. And in everything we will follow and obey our master and father, the Most Reverend Jonah, Metropolitan of All Rus', who was appointed Metropolitan, by the election of the grace of the Holy Spirit and according to the divine sacred rules of the Holy Apostles and Holy Fathers, in the Cathedral Church of the Most Pure Mother of God in Moscow, at the tomb of the Holy Wonderworker Peter, Russian Metropolitan; or whoever, according to him, another metropolitan will be placed on that great throne of the Russian metropolitanate in the cathedral church of the Holy Mother of God in Moscow, at the tomb of the holy wonderworker Peter, Russian metropolitan: and from that metropolitan we must also be persistent and obey him in everything. The name of the Grand Duke is not in the manuscript. Jonah's name is not in the manuscript. The words: formerly former could not be in the original. They appeared on the synodal list, as in the sample letters of this year. In the manuscript, the names of the bishops are omitted and after the words: “I am also a humble bishop [Philip] of the God-saved city” [Suzdal] and it is noted: “or how many of them will be bishops, they say: I have received ordination from my lord and father, named, Metropolitan of All Rus'.” So that means it was in the original; the names of the bishops are revealed from the act that follows (No. 84).
