Just as it is impossible for a bird to fly without wings, so it is impossible for a person to be saved without fasting and prayer. So, abstain from rich food, from useless verbosity, from all untruths and from drunken drinking. 4. Prayer to God is diligent, non-lazy and without vain thoughts. 5. Mercy, alms, voluntary giving. If you are poor, then give at least a little and don’t be stingy. 6. Love. We need to love not only our brothers, but also our enemies, we need to love those who hate us and those who annoy us, and never do harm to them. 7. Grateful patience with annoyance, reproach, insult and reproach. 8. Love humility and not be proud at all. 9 . Remain silent; do not talk to anyone about useless things. Especially in church, you need to stand meekly and say nothing to anyone, except for the most necessary things. 10. Do not be lazy in the work of God, but struggle in it with cheerfulness and eagerness. 11. Do not be furious, impudent, angry, do not remember evil and do not repay evil for evil. 12. Do not envy anyone or anything, do not slander anyone, do not lie about anything, do not condemn anyone for their sins, even if you have seen them with your own eyes. 13. Never laugh at all. 14. Constantly have the Jesus Prayer in your mind and think about the hour of death. Live carefully every day and hour, keep the commandments of God and always be ready to stand as at the Last Judgment and give an answer to God about all your sins, for the Lord says: “What I find you in, that is what I will judge you in,” - it’s good if in good deeds and repentance; Those who did not repent and did not cry here about their sins will face the most severe and endless torment. 15. It is necessary to always bring true repentance for sins before God and your spiritual father with all zeal, regret and tenderness, never to sin later and to wash away your sins with tears. All these deeds are pleasing to the All-Merciful Lord God, our Creator.
