A crowd of heretics attacks the Church; some have already appeared and are causing trouble, while others, as we hear, will appear, and there is a danger that the teaching of truth may be perverted if the spirit of Bezaleel, the wise architect of such teachings and dogmas, does not move quickly (2). I was overcome with considerable fear, lest those who from time to time creep into the Church of our metropolis and want to fill it with heretical tares, taking advantage of the time, with their crafty teachings, would not eradicate piety, sown with great difficulty in the souls of men, and would not dissect the unity of the Church, which they have already done in many Churches (2). There is no harm if the heretics have warmed up and in the spring they dare to crawl out of their holes... I know very well that they will not hiss for long, then they will hide, overthrown by both truth and time, and the sooner, the more with great hope we leave everything to God (2).
