What God has revealed to us will certainly be so, and what God has predicted for the future will certainly happen in due time. There will certainly be a resurrection of the dead, there will be a second coming of Christ, just as the first was, there will be His righteous judgment, there will be reward for the righteous and for the sinners. The pious, comforted in the bosom of Abraham, await the general resurrection, in which, having heard the voice of the Son of God, they will come to life in the flesh, and, as in spring the grass that has vegetated with beautiful flowers, coming from the graves, will be clothed in a new, incorruptible and beautiful appearance, and thus will receive the most perfect bliss from the right hand of the Lord; The wicked, tormented in hell, expect the most perfect reward for their deeds and torment upon union with the bodies with which they committed lawlessness. And so for the pious, death is gain (Phil. 1:21), for through death they acquire eternal life; There is destruction for the wicked, for they die by a temporary eternal death. Change will greet everyone living on the face of the earth; everyone will get their lot. It is righteous to give God his due to everyone - to those who offend and are insulted (2 Thess. 1:6-10), to God, who will reward everyone according to his deeds (Matthew 16:27): to those who by constancy in good deeds seek glory, honor and immortality - eternal life, and to those who persist and do not submit to the truth, but indulge in unrighteousness - rage and anger. Sorrow and distress to every soul of a person who does evil, and so on (Rom. 2:6-9). The proud will humble themselves, and the humble will be exalted. The scoffers will stop their mouths, and will remain silent, and shame will cover them, and they will stand boldly, and lift up their mocked heads. Those who offend will be in sorrow, and those who are insulted will find joy. The rich and the rich will become poor and hungry, and the poor will be rich, and the hungry will be satisfied, and those who seek the Lord will not be deprived of any good (Ps. 33:11). Those who expelled will be rejected, and those who were expelled will be accepted. Those who laugh and rejoice in this world will weep, and those who weep will be comforted. Those who glorify themselves will be humiliated, and those who humiliate themselves will be glorified. Those who rejoice will thirst and desire drops of water every day, and they will be satisfied from the fatness of the house of the Lord, and those who fear God and serve Him will be drunk with the stream of His sweetness (Ps. 35:9). To each his own. God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, that he will also reap (Gal. 6:7). And these (sinners) will go into eternal torment, and the righteous into eternal life (Matthew 25:46). Then endless eternity will begin. Some in heaven, their longed-for homeland, will endlessly, after the labors, sorrows, and misfortunes endured here for the sake of piety, rest, rejoice, have fun, be consoled, reign with Christ the King, while others in hell will also endlessly suffer and be tormented with the devil and his angels. The present or present time, while we live in this world, is convenient for doing good, and not the future, after death, for then there will be a time of reward. Whoever has done anything here while living in the world, good or evil, will appear at the judgment of Christ - then he will receive according to what he did while living in the body, good or bad (2 Cor. 5:10), as the Apostle teaches. After death, doing good will cease, but then there will be reward for every deed. Therefore, the present time is likened to sowing, and the future to harvest. Just as farmers sow seeds at the appropriate time and then, at the next appropriate time, harvest the fruits, so Christians at the present time, as the appropriate time, need to sow seeds, that is, good deeds, so that in the next century they can reap the fruits of good deeds - seeds. Farmers sow seeds, but they reap much greater fruit with the blessing of God, as we see. Thus, pious souls do good deeds in the name of the Lord, but they will receive a hundredfold reward for those deeds, like the most abundant fruit, from the hand of the Lord in the future life.
