Matt. 20:26 [-28] st. Serving humanity earns one's seat at the right hand of the Son of God in the Kingdom of Heaven. This virtue is so important. He who diligently, sincerely and unselfishly serves the essential needs of people imitates the Son of God, Who came not to be served, but to serve and give His soul for the ransom of many. Shepherds of Christ's flock! Use your title to your salvation and obtain high dignity in the Kingdom of the Son of God. Serve your flock diligently, sincerely and, if possible, unselfishly: your service in heaven is highly valued. 34 art. Jesus, being moved with compassion, touched their eyes (the blind men of Jericho); and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him. I kiss Your most pure, all-powerful hands, Sweetest Jesus, which life-givingly touch our weak nature. I see here clearly the Creator of the world and people: just as it costs nothing for a skilled mechanic to correct the most skillful and delicate machine, because he is its master and has all sorts of tools and materials for correcting it, so the Creator of the world all the more does not cost anything to correct a machine of the human body that has been damaged in some place, since He is its Master and in His creative mind and word lie all the means not only for correcting a damaged machine created by Him, but also for creating again in one word any car, any size. Human! Answer me: why does the huge machine of the world not deteriorate over time and from such long use, but your small, invisible in comparison with the world, microscopic machine deteriorates and is damaged so quickly? Because the universe, or the visible world, is filled with the Spirit of God - the Life-Giving Spirit (the Spirit of the Lord fills the universe [Wisdom 1:7]), because the world, like a meaningless creature, is carried by the powerful word of God - and your body is filled and penetrated by your lawless, sinful soul. But can there be no damage, can there be a correct course, a correct life where they do not follow the law of life indicated by God? Your physical illnesses are for the most part the fruit of the iniquities of your soul. And since you have subjugated the unreasonable creature to your vanity, then because of you it too is soon damaged and destroyed, and together with you it sighs and suffers, wanting to be freed from the work of corruption. Ch.21, [v.3]. Answer that the Lord needs them; and he will send them forthwith. So powerful and effective is the word of the Lord as the Lord of all creation - verbal and wordless. The verbal creature belongs to the dumb animal - the donkey. The Lord needed a donkey: the Lord sees him, although he is far from Him and no one can see him, and sends his disciples to untie him from the pillar to which he is tied and bring him to Him. The disciples fulfill the will of the Lord: they go, find the donkey, and ununtie it. The owner asks: why are you untying him? They answer that the Lord demands it, and the owner, without saying a word, gives his donkey, not knowing to whom and for what. The simple words of the disciples were so convincing to him: the Lord demands him. A rational creature - man, secretly but clearly heard and felt in the words of the disciples the words of the Lord of all creation and could not answer anything against them; the dumb creature was taken to satisfy the needs of the One who needs nothing. [Verse] 14 And the blind and the lame came to Him in the church, and He healed them. Everywhere I see the benefits and miracles of the Sweetest Jesus. 16th century From the mouths of babes and sucklings You have ordained praise. God can praise Himself through stones: if they are silent, then the stones will cry out. [ OK. 19:40]. Can the glory of the Creator of all things not burst forth in the voice of creatures? Can the light of the Divine, a thousand times brighter than the sun, hide under the veil of a material or even rational creature? Never, never. Then the creature would be larger and stronger than the Creator. Creation means nothing to Him when He wants to do His will. The depths of the heavens with the world and the depths of the sea then disappear before Him. Art.19. Seeing a fig tree along the road, he approached it and, finding nothing on it except some leaves, said to it: Let there be no fruit from you henceforth forever. And the fig tree immediately withered. Your verb is strong. But why did you curse the innocent fig tree? To give us, guilty of our infertility, a lesson. Art.33 et seq. About grapes. Chapter 22. The Kingdom of Heaven is likened to a man, a king, who married his son and sent his servants to call those invited to the marriage, but they did not want to come. Then he sent other slaves, saying: tell those invited that my dinner is completely ready: come to the wedding. Those invited, neglecting the invitation, left - some to their own field, some to buy something. And others, seizing his servants, annoyed them and killed them. We see and read this bitter truth in the lives of people not only of our positive century, but of all times. The Lord, through His holy word, through the voice of conscience and the voice of nature, also through the circumstances of life, invites everyone to the heavenly palace. And how many do not want to go; how many, neglecting the invitation, as if alien, strangers to them, go some to their field, some to buy, some [Inuds 26] where! Others even harass preachers of the Gospel. What will the righteous and long-suffering King do? It’s scary to imagine what He will do to His daring subjects: He will burn their city with heavenly fire, that is, the land on which people live will burn like dry brushwood, so that it does not remind anyone of the black ingratitude of the subjects of the Heavenly King. Where will the ungrateful be? They will be saved from elemental fire - in order to be thrown into eternal fire, not elemental. 32 Art. I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but of the living. How certain it is that our dead are alive with the Lord God! Departing from the body, they only enter the Lord, from Whom the prison of the body separated them here. 37[-40] Art. Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind: this is the first and greatest commandment; the second is similar to it: love your neighbor as yourself; All the law and the prophets are based on these two commandments. Always have these commandments of the great Lawgiver - God, and try to fulfill them. How important they are: the whole law of Moses and the prophets, no matter how extensive they are, mainly say the same thing as these two commandments. Chapter 23, 9 art. Do not call anyone on earth your father, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. The Father of every creature, and therefore ours, is One - in heaven. Earthly parents are the mediators of our birth. The Lord brought us into this world through them, like through some channel: from them we received a bodily shell with all the wonderful mechanism of the body, arranged from the beginning by the all-wise Artist of the world and then continuing to be formed according to the pattern and law given once and for all. 24 Art. Blind leaders, straining out a mosquito and devouring a camel! There are many such leaders today. They pay attention to little things and stand up for them, and objects that are worth attention are passed by their eyes and ears. Ch.25, [vv.14–15]. He will act like a man who, going to a foreign country, called his servants and entrusted them with his property (land, life, health, abilities): and to one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to each according to his strength; and immediately set off. The man departing is the Lord, who ascended into heaven and has to come to take an account from His servants - all people - about how they used His property. It is remarkable that the number of talents is adjusted by the Distributor to the forces of those who receive the talents. No one should complain that you have been given little; you have been given according to your strength. If they gave you more, you would not be able to bear it and would become spoiled. Verses 31 and 32. When the Son of Man comes... all the nations will be gathered before Him... All the nations will be gathered before the Judge of the whole world, that is, all the nations that were from the beginning of the world until the second coming, and all in a changed form, incorruptible, subtle. At this Judgment, works of mercy are justified and blessed immortality is achieved. Always remember this and do not be lazy in giving alms. Chapter 26. The wife pours precious myrrh on the head of the reclining Jesus. What, by the way, does the Lord of the world and the Creator of centuries reward her with? He gives her His almighty word as a souvenir, according to which everywhere, throughout the world, her deed will be remembered until the end of time. It is remarkable that with the Lord everything was done according to prophecies: He Himself often notes that it is necessary... to fulfill all righteousness [Matt. 3:15 ]; How then will the Scriptures be fulfilled, that this must be so? [v.54], etc. And the evangelists even more often notice: may the Scriptures be fulfilled, etc. From this alone I recognize in the Sweetest Jesus the Son of God, the Redeemer of the world. Chapter 27 As soon as they nailed the Lord to the cross, darkness fell over the whole earth; As soon as he gave up the ghost, the darkness passed, but its place was taken by an earthquake, the disintegration of stones, the tearing of the veil, and the resurrection of the dead. Who doesn’t see here that the Creator of the world, the Son of God, is hanging on the cross? While the crust of the earth groaned, so to speak, from the horror of the deicide committed on its surface, the animating life of the Divine penetrated into it and raised the dead saints. Glory to Your long-suffering, O Lord! Chapter 28 The Resurrection is marked by an earthquake: a lightning-shaped Angel descends from heaven, rolls away the stone from the tomb and sits on it. His clothes are white as snow - from the inner light. His fear shook the entire being of the warriors, and they became dead. While the Angel struck some with such horror, he calms the myrrh-bearers with the following words: don’t be afraid. I know that you are looking for Jesus crucified, Whom I serve.
