I please you! I see some wonderful hand of God over you. You yourself are under the cross of illness, and your children - the fruit of your womb - have bowed their shoulders to the Cross of Christ, rejecting the yoke of the world as indecent! “My mother was very upset when I entered the monastery, but on her deathbed, a few minutes before her death, she said: “Now, at this hour, I have one consolation: my eldest son is in the monastery.” I often think: what inexplicable grief will befall those parents at the Last Judgment of Christ who will be angrily and threateningly denounced and condemned by the impartial Judge for sacrificing their children to the world and the ruler of the world! – What incomparable joy will embrace those parents whom this Judge will bless and praise for sacrificing their children to God, for preparing them to become residents of a bright paradise! – This joy awaits you! Two crowns await you: one for your own sorrows, the other for your children. Nice crowns of bliss! Would you like to try them on!.. They are given full possession in that life, but you can try them on here too. Do you want it? – By the grace of God, I will teach you how to grab (they are subtle, spiritual, not everyone knows how they are stolen!) and how to try on. – Make it a rule to thank the Lord daily for your cup, i.e. for your illnesses, for all your sorrows, for the lot of your daughters. 112.
