Lord Christ, Lord of the Savior of Souls, Lord God of all visible and invisible powers, as the Creator of everything that is in heaven and above heaven and all heavens, as well as that which is on earth and under the earth, You are the Lord and God and Master of (all) this, You hold creation in Your hand, since You embrace everything with it. Thy hand, Master, is that great power which, fulfilling the will of Thy Father, produces, accomplishes, creates and manages our (deeds) in an indescribable way. So, she has now brought me from non-existence to existence. When I was born in this world, I was completely ignorant of You, the good Lord, You, my Creator, You, O my Creator, and I was, as it were, blind in the world and an atheist, not knowing my God. So, You Yourself had mercy (on me), visited and converted, shining a light on me in the darkness, and drew me to Yourself, O Creator! and having brought me out of the lowest pit - the darkness of passions, the deepest darkness of lusts and worldly pleasures, he showed me the way and gave me a leader to guide me to (observe) Thy commandments, following which I lived carefree and rejoiced in the Word, with indescribable joy, seeing him follow Thy footsteps and often converse with You. And even seeing You, the good Lord, (directly) co-abiding with my leader and my (spiritual) father, I had an inexpressible, above faith and hope, love and desire (for You). Now I see the future, I said, the kingdom of heaven has come, and I see before my eyes those blessings that eye has not seen and ear has not heard (I Cor. 2:9); Having them, what more can I hope for? or on what else will I show my faith, for there will be no other great thing beyond this? When I was in this (state) and was comforted by it, You took from the earth, alas for me, my father, snatched my leader from my eyes, O Lover of Mankind, and left me alone, completely orphaned, completely alone, completely deprived of all help, and, alas for me, and the shepherd of the flock, You yourself placed me, a truly defenseless wanderer, in the image of fate. Therefore, now I beg You (only), I ask and, falling down, I cry: do not turn away, do not leave me and do not, O my Lord, leave me alone. You know the difficulty of walking along this path, you know the fury of the robbers (plotting) against us, you know the many evil beasts; You know, my Christ, my weakness and ignorance with which I, as a man, are possessed. However, I do not at all consider myself a person, but far removed from people. For in everything I am the last of all and truly the least of all people. Pour upon me, I ask, my King and God, Your great mercy, which may, O Savior, fill my deprivations and shortcomings and may it make me a whole, perfect, (intact) person, not lacking anything necessary, and so may He place me before You, the Word, Your uncondemned and blameless servant, praising You forever and ever. In l. paragraph 24 chapter; in P. r. and this hymn did not survive, since in the table of contents it is listed as the 37th word. You might be interested in:
