Вочеловечение Господа

Since I hear that there are people among you who distort the right dogma about the incarnation of the Lord with false assumptions, I beg them, through your love, to leave behind that absurd opinion that others told me they have, namely: that God Himself turned into flesh and did not accept Adam’s mixture from the Virgin Mary, but through His own Divinity was transformed into material nature. This absurd doctrine is very easy to refute. But since blasphemy is obvious by itself, I think that for one who fears the Lord, one reminder is enough. For if he has turned, then he has changed. But let us not dare to say or think this, because God said: “I am, and I do not change” (cf. Mal. 3:6). Moreover, what is the benefit to us in becoming human, if not our body, united with the Divine, overcame the power of death? It was not through the transformation of Himself that He composed His own body, which occurred in Him as if from the thickening of the Divine nature. And how could the immense Divinity be contained in the volume of a small body, if only the entire nature of the Only Begotten was transformed? (6) You might be interested in:
