Hebrews 1:1. Hebrews 1:4. If He were so much superior to the Angels in relation to all that I have indicated; then how much more excellent than them... name... did he inherit? That is, exactly the one about which he said: “he gave Him the name that is above every name” (Phil. 2:9). Hebrews 1:5. To which of the Angels did he ever say: Thou art my son (Ps. 2:7)? For although this was said to people as evidence of their nature, that is, that they are sons (of God) not by nature, but by grace, it was not said to any of the Angels: “I will be His Father, and He will be My Son” (2 Samuel 7:14). And not one of the people was told: Hebrews 1:6. may all the Angels of God worship Him, for even if Angels become companions of people, people have never brought the Angels into obedience to themselves. For Angels are not uncreated, but Hebrews 1:7. He created, says (Ps. 103:4), The angels are His spirits and His servants are fiery flames. God says this about His Son: Hebrews 1:8. Hebrews 1:13. To whom, he says, of the Angels did he say: Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet (Ps. 109:1)? Hebrews 1:14.
