((Rom.13:1)) Every soul, says, if it be subject to the authorities, let him obey them, for there is no authority (except) from God. Whether one (of the rulers) is unjust or cruel, he (the boss) is given to tame the unjust and for the approval of the righteous. If he is kind and truthful, then he will be given out of mercy. ((Rom.13:2)) Whatever and wherever they (the rulers) may be, they nevertheless exist by the command of God. So, whoever resists the boss, who is the avenger of evil, resists God’s will. And those who resist receive condemnation for themselves. ((Rom.13:3)) But do you want to not be afraid of the rulers? (So) do good, and for your fear in the face of them you will receive great approval from them. ((Rom.13:4)) For he is God's servant, since through him the will of God is accomplished over the righteous and the wicked. If you do evil, be afraid and do not do it, for it was not without purpose (in vain) that you girded yourself with a sword 5 . ((Rom.13:5)) So, it is necessary to obey not only because he (the leader) is the avenger of wrath, but also for the sake of conscience, that is, for the sake of our mind, so that he does not blame us for being filled with anger and resisting it after the command given to us not to resist them (the authorities). ((Rom.13:6)) Therefore (for) you also represent tribute, for you are servants of God, who in His humiliation gave tribute for your sake, to be an example to you (Matthew 17:24. Phil. 2:5-8). ((Rom.13:7)) So give everyone their due. ((Rom.13:8)) Owe no one anything except to love one another, for whoever loves his neighbor has fulfilled the whole law. ((Rom.13:9)) For the commandments: do not commit adultery, do not steal, and the rest, are fulfilled in this word, which says: love your neighbor as yourself (cf. Lev.19:18, Gal.5:14, James 2:8).
