It is narrated that he killed an Egyptian, reproached a Jew and was accused by him, that he fled to the land of Midian, sat down by a well, protected the virgins from insult, entered the house of Jethro and married his daughter Zipporah, that Pharaoh died, that the sons of Israel sighed from hard slavery. It is told how the Jews prayed and were heard, how God appeared to Moses in a bush, how the rod became a serpent, the hand became covered with leprosy and was cleansed, how Moses goes to Egypt, how an Angel meets him at the camp (near the Mount of God Horeb) and threatens to kill him, how Moses enters Egypt and Aaron meets him, how Moses performs signs before the elders of the people, and they believe him. It is told how Moses and Aaron come to Pharaoh, but he does not want to let the Jews go, increases their work, forbids them to be given spit, how the rod becomes a serpent, the river turns into blood, then frogs, infection, scnips (lice, mosquitoes), dog flies, purulent scabs, fire and hail, locusts, darkness and the beating of the firstborn, as in On the fourteenth day the Jews slaughter and eat the lamb, as they hastily leave Egypt, armed and adorned with gold, silver and clothes taken from the Egyptians. Then the parting of the sea, the crossing of the Jews and the drowning of the Egyptians are described; it is told how Mariam sang a song of praise by the sea; how the Israelites walked for three days and had no water; how the bitter waters of Marah were sweetened by the tree, how the manna descended, the krastel (quails) appeared; how at Horeb Moses brought out water from a stone; how the Amalekites came and fought with the Jews; how his father-in-law Jethro came to Moses; how the law was given to the Israelites on Mount Sinai; how God descends on Mount Sinai; how laws and courts are given there; how Moses ascends the mountain and brings tablets from there, receives a commandment from God, how and from what to build a tabernacle; as the people, when Moses lingered on the mountain, cast a calf; how Moses returns and ascends the mountain a second time, accepts new tablets and intercedes for the criminal people; how He prays to God that He Himself would walk with the children of Israel, and says: “Show me Your glory... so that I may see You with understanding” (Ex. 33:18, 13); how God reveals himself to Moses and exhorts (convinces) to keep the given commandments, and after worshiping the calf he pronounces laws. Finally, the construction of the tabernacle and all its furnishings is described, and its setting up on the first day of the first month; It is narrated how a cloud overshadows the tabernacle during the day and informs the Israelites about the time of their departure.
