“Rise up, O God, judge the earth: for You have inherited among all nations” (Ps. 81:8). At a time when we triumph and glorify our Risen Lord, the Church fills our ears with the expectation of a new resurrection. Rise up God! And not content with waiting, he turns it into desire and prayer, accelerating what is expected. Rise up God! Is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ really incomplete, so that in addition to it we must expect a new resurrection? No, Jesus rose completely from the grave, so death does not belong to anyone. Jesus rose completely for justification and testimony before the whole world of His Divine dignity. He rose completely to give us justification, He rose completely to be the head of His Church, the leader of the believers. But there is one side by which the Risen Lord has not yet revealed Himself to the world, by which He is hitherto, as if dead and lying in the tomb. This side, not glorified, not revealed, not put into action, is the court. To whom does it belong if not Him? And the Father gave all judgment to the Sons. But the Son does not use this. Remembering that He came not to judge the world, but to save the world, the Son reveals Himself in all other qualities, but not as a judge. During His life He said: “Man, who will make Me a judge... over you?” (Luke 12:14). And after the resurrection He did not pronounce any judgment. Who was more subject to him than Judas, Pilate, and the high priests? But we, among all the phenomena, did not hear a single word of condemnation. You might be interested in:
