The capital, rejoicing at the mere thought that it has been granted to be the cradle of Your Firstborn, naturally, with the liveliest joy, sees in the year of coming of age the One Whom it received on its birthday from the very bosom of the Blessed Mother. This joy is also elevated by the delightful thought that Your love now gives us this unexpected joy. Such joy could not find enough words for itself. But a simple heartfelt prayer can speak for her: may the Lord protect You - our peace and our joy, and Your Beloved Heir - our hope, and may He continue to multiply Your family joys, which you so fatherly share with Your vast family - Your loyal subjects.
