(Acts 21:8–14; John 14:27–15:7) The Lord Jesus Christ is the vine, the grape tree; Christians are branches and shoots. We cling to Him by faith, and we bear fruit by living by faith. Heavenly Father is the helikeeper who looks after this tree. Whatever branch does not bear fruit, that is, whoever believes and does not live by faith, He cuts off that branch; and whichever bears fruit, it purifies, that is, whoever not only believes, but is diligent and lives by faith, God helps him in every possible way to be rich in good deeds, which are the fruits of faith. According to this law of God’s action on us, everyone arranges his life, firmly remembering that without the Lord nothing can be done. Run to Him with every need.
