This day, says the Prophet, in the same day Christ has risen by the power of His Divinity: then He put to death hell with the brilliance of an unbearable light, destroyed death, trampled the opposing forces, bound the tormentor, released the prisoners, freed Adam, and bestowed the kingdom of heaven on all the righteous. Truly, this day is as glorious, as great, as red, wonderful and bright and wondrous among all creation. This is a great and enlightened day, and a saving one for creation; The patriarchs and prophets desired to see this day, but we have found it. Oh, great day, prosperity of the righteous, miraculous gifts, royal clothing given to the faithful, perception of God's sonship, inheritance of God's grace! Oh, the brightest day of every day and the most solemn of all celebrations! Oh, day that put aside the topic of unreason and showed us the light of prudence! Oh, great and joyful day, on which the only begotten Son of God emerged from the dark depths of the earth and enlightened the entire universe with luminous dawns! Let us praise, brethren, the glory and majesty of this day of Christ, on which our Lord Jesus Christ descends into the underworld fortress to humble the enemy and bind the apostate, condemn the evil one, destroy his power, crush the gates of copper and break the ropes of iron. And He said to the prisoners: “Come out, and you who are in darkness, be revealed; “I have now come to set you free, and by the power of My Divinity to release you from your bonds and to lead you into the light of My kingdom.” His hell will continue to shit, he was saddened, seeing the destruction of his power, he recognized his weakness, he was afraid of the shine of the light of the Divinity of Christ. “When I knew Him, I pronounced hell, God is omnipotent, I repented, for in vain I had conquered those born of Mary: I was conquered and mocked; Having accepted the idea of ​​the weak, I have found the omnipotent God; received the dead, found life giving to everyone; received a human body, found the Creator as a man; I accepted without even thinking about it, and fell without even looking; devoured dead, ignorantly, and trampled under the belly.” Where is the sting, death? Truly, now is a day of eternal joy: now let us sing to Christ and magnify His glory. Come this day, brethren, let us rejoice in the Lord and exclaim to God our Savior, who has made Christ holy by confessing that He has come down from His Majesty, from the bright heavens, to seek the lost, like the good shepherd, to save the lost, to drive away the wolf and crush its teeth, to pluck out the stolen sheep. Today Christ comes: a strong man to the weak, a physician to the sick, a liberator to captives, a mortal enlightener to those who sit in darkness, an immortal life to the dead. Let us today praise the burial of the only begotten and the three-day resurrection of the Son of God, the conqueror of death, the joy of the whole world, who gave life and enlightenment to the pagans. Let us today praise Him who rejected our absurdity and clothed us in splendor; let us praise God the Word, who enlightened the world with wisdom, who honored the church name and spread spiritual actions. Let us today praise him who sanctified the earth, and by His Divine command transformed corruption into incorruption. Let us exalt and glorify the day of the Resurrection of Christ, let us rejoice and rejoice on it. On this day the curse upon us is abolished, and blessing is poured out in abundance. Oh, a beautiful and bright day, on which the heavenly one has copulated with the earthly! Today, truly, we have fled from Egypt, and we have freed ourselves from the bitter ruler Pharaoh, and the harsh overseers; no one will now forbid us to the Lord Our God. Yesterday we were crucified with Christ, today we will be glorified with him; Yesterday we were mortified, today we will come to life; Yesterday we were buried, today we will rise again, we will recognize our dignity and honor Christ, we will recognize the power of mystery, and for whom Christ died and rose again, in order to revive us and resurrect us with Himself.
