There is a parable for fornicators and adulterers about the impossibility of joining the team.
If a faithful person is accused of fornication, adultery, or another forbidden act and is exposed, he should not be admitted to the clergy.

Εἴ τις κατηγορία γένηται κατὰ πιστοῦ, πορνείας ἢ μοιχείας ἢ ἄλλης τινὸς ἀπηγορευμένης πράξεως, καὶ ἐλεγχθείη, εἰς κλῆρον μὴ προαγέσθω.
