His Eminence Vladyka celebrated the Divine Liturgy on the day of remembrance of Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olgatranslated

On July 24, on the day of remembrance of Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Olga, Grand Duchess of Russia, at the Holy Epiphany of Helena, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. Concelebrating with the Most Reverend Bishop was the dean of the Bendery district, Archpriest Mikhail Lungu, and the cathedral clergyman. At the end of the service, glorification was performed before the image of Equal-to-the-Apostles Olga, Grand Duchess of Russia, to whom Vladyka Sava offered a prayer, after which he sang glorification together with the clergy. At the end of the prayers, His Eminence Archbishop Savva addressed the worshipers with a word of archpastoral edification, noting that the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga became the first ruler of Rus' to openly profess the Christian faith and mark the beginning of the spiritual transformation of the Russian people. Having accepted Holy Baptism and devoting her life to serving God, she set an example of wisdom, courage and unshakable fidelity to Christ, preparing the ground for the Baptism of Rus', performed by her grandson, the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir.
