On July 17, on the day of remembrance of the holy Royal Passion-Bearers Emperor Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra, Tsarevich Alexy, Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria and Anastasia, established in memory of their martyrdom, His Eminence Archbishop Savva of Tiraspol and Dubossary performed an akathist before the locally revered image of the Most Holy Theotokos "Recovery of the Lost" Tiraspol in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. At the end of the akathist singing, the Ruling Bishop led the service of the Divine Liturgy. His Eminence was served by the clergyman and clergy of the main church of the Tiraspol-Dubossary diocese. Despite the weekday, many believers gathered under the arches of the cathedral to offer prayers before the revered image of the Queen of Heaven and prayerfully honor the memory of the last Russian Emperor and his pious family.
