On August 6, the Church honors the memory of St. George (Konissky), Archbishop of Mogilev and Belarus.

His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the celebration of the day of memory of St. George (Konissky) in Mogilev. The Divine Liturgy in the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral of the city of Mogilev was led by Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky, Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.

Saint George (Konissky), Archbishop of Mogilev and Belarus (1717 - 1795), worked on the Mogilev land for four decades and went down in history as a church leader, politician, diplomat, lawyer, scientist, teacher and writer.

The bishop suffered persecution and persecution for the Orthodox faith, but as a good shepherd he led the flock entrusted to him to Christ.
