All-night vigil in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord: spiritual preparation for the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Marytranslated

On September 20, on the eve of the celebration of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, a solemn All-Night Vigil took place in the Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Lord in the city of Serov. The service was led by His Eminence Theognost, Bishop of Serov and Krasnoturinsky.

His Eminence was concelebrated by the clergy of the cathedral. Solemn chants, filled with deep liturgical meaning, created a special atmosphere of prayer in the church - the parishioners, together with the archpastor, spiritually prepared for the bright holiday, glorifying the Most Holy Theotokos and Her righteous parents - Saints Joachim and Anna.

At the end of the service, Bishop Theognost addressed those gathered with the words of a sermon. The archpastor recalled the significance of the feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God for the entire Christian world, the humility and faith of the righteous parents, whose long prayer was heard, and how from this quiet, intimate event a new chapter began in the history of the salvation of mankind. The Bishop called on parishioners to draw strength from the example of the holy family to strengthen their own faith and to create peace and love in their homes.
