On July 20, on the eve of the celebration of the appearance of the icon of the Most Holy Theotokos in the city of Kazan, Metropolitan Longin of Simbirsk and Novospassky performed an all-night vigil with the reading of the akathist to the Mother of God in the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in the city of Ulyanovsk.

His Eminence was co-served by the rector of the church, Priest Andrei Kozlovsky, Priest Mikhail Lazarev, Deacon John Kosyakov, and Deacon Grigory Shevchenko.

During the service the Bishop's male choir of the Simbirsk Metropolis sang under the direction of the regent, Priest Andrei Chizhov.

Yes, Bishop Longin always pays attention to this church, especially the Kazan one. With us in Varna, on the holiday, we sang the akathist after the vespers, but without a bishop.
