Sunday school students took part in the family competition “Chamomile Family” | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

Pupils of the Sunday school of the Kazan Cathedral in the city of Elista took part in the creative family competition “Chamomile Family”, dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity - the holiday of the holy noble princes Peter and Fevronia of Murom. The competition was held in a remote format and united children and their parents in a joint creative activity. Participants were asked to make a symbolic “family daisy” - a drawing or craft with the name of the family in the center, and important spiritual and moral qualities on the petals: love, faith, fidelity, peace, patience, obedience, mutual assistance and other virtues. The works were performed in a variety of techniques: from drawings and applications to collages. The main condition of the competition—the joint participation of parents and children—helped strengthen family ties and recalled the Christian understanding of the family as a small Church. Participants sent photographs of their work, as well as family photos with finished daisies. As a result of the competition, all families received thanks, and the most striking and original works were especially noted and presented in the online gallery.
