“Your responsibility has increased a thousand times”: Alexander Shuvaev took office as governor of the Belgorod regiontranslated

With the blessing of Metropolitan John of Belgorod and Stary Oskol, on October 2, in the Great Hall of the Belgorod State Philharmonic, a solemn ceremony was held for the inauguration of the governor of the Belgorod region, Alexander Mikhailovich Shuvaev. Alexander Mikhailovich Shuvaev, a native of Novy Oskol, Hero of Russia, major general, participant in a special military operation, took the oath, placing his hand on the Charter of the region. To the sounds of the “March of the Preobrazhensky Regiment,” the banner group brought in the State Flag of the Russian Federation, the flag of the Belgorod Region, the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Charter of the region and the official badge of the governor. The chairman of the election commission of the Belgorod region, Igor Lazarev, announced the official voting results: 65.97% of voters — 493,926 people — voted for Alexander Shuvaev. Lazarev presented the elected governor with a certificate and a memorial protocol.
