A meeting on issues of spiritual and moral education and demography was held in the building of the Don Metropolitanatetranslated

On October 5, 2026, in the building of the Don Metropolis, under the chairmanship of the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, a meeting was held on the issues of spiritual and moral education of schoolchildren and students, as well as the demographic situation in the Rostov region.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region Dmitry Sharkov, Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy of the Rostov Region Oleg Otrokov, Head of the Regional Management Center of the Rostov Region Yuri Emelyanov, Deputy Head of the Information Policy Department of the Government of the Rostov Region Olga Troshkina, Deputy Head of the Department for Interaction with Civil Society Institutions and Interethnic Relations of the Ministry of Regional Policy of the Rostov Region Vladislav Pelipenko.

During the meeting, the participants discussed issues of interaction between the Rostov-on-Don diocese and government bodies in the field of spiritual and moral education of the younger generation. Particular attention was paid to issues of demographic policy in the Rostov region.

Following the meeting, the parties outlined the main directions for further cooperation.…

It's good that they are talking about the spiritual education of children at school, because in my little son's class there is still no such class. But my question is: what concrete measures will they take for demographics, because in our village many couples simply cannot afford a second child?
