On August 12, in the Ascension Cathedral in Zvenigorod, a meeting was held with the wives and mothers of dead and missing soldiers of the Northern Military District participants. The event was attended by the Head of the Moscow region branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, Olga Vladimirovna Ermakova, the head of the Service for Assistance to SVO Participants and Members of their Families of the Odintsovo Diocese, Archpriest Alexander Karlyuk, and the clergyman of the Ascension Cathedral, serving in the area where the SVO is held, priest Vitaly Kondratov.
After the funeral litany for the fallen soldiers and a prayer service for the living, the meeting participants gathered in the parish refectory, where they discussed various issues, including those related to religious understanding of military events, spiritual assistance to soldiers and their loved ones, as well as measures of social support for the families of the dead and current participants of the North Military District.
