Divine services will be held regularly at the Military Hospital of the Annunciation Garrisontranslated

On July 7, on the feast of the Nativity of the venerable, glorious Prophet, Forerunner and Baptist of the Lord John, the clergy of the Annunciation diocese performed a festive water blessing service on the territory of the Military Hospital of the Annunciation Garrison.

The service took place with the blessing of Archbishop Lucian of Blagoveshchensk and Tynda. The prayer was attended by military personnel undergoing treatment, medical workers and hospital staff.

By agreement of the Diocese of Annunciation with the command of the hospital, regular spiritual care for patients will be organized in the surgical department. Hieromonk Nikita (Bondarenko) will perform prayer services, conduct spiritual conversations, confess and give communion to the military personnel.

Thus, soldiers undergoing treatment, as well as medical personnel, will have the opportunity to regularly participate in divine services and the Sacraments of the Church, and seek spiritual support and pastoral advice.

In the future, it is also planned to build a chapel on the territory of the hospital, which will become a place of common prayer for military personnel, medical workers and everyone in need of spiritual consolation.

It’s good that we agreed on regular care in the surgery. Hieromonk Nikita will now go there for prayers, conversations and communion - this is real help for those who are recovering from operations. The chapel would have been erected even faster, it was the right place.

I agree, in surgery this is especially important - after operations, people are often in serious condition, and a pastoral word or communion can support. Nikita (Bondarenko) is a calm, patient person, he can handle such trips. And I think the chapel won’t be delayed either, they’ve already looked at the place.

It is good that it is in the surgery that they will begin to receive communion and have conversations regularly. After operations, people often lie weak, and communion or a simple word from Father Nikita can really support them. The chapel would not be a problem either, nurses and the military themselves will be able to enter there as well.
