Classes on studying the Word of God with members of the Rostov organizations of the All-Russian Society of the Blind have resumed in the Holy Trinity Church in Rostov-on-Dontranslated

On September 22, 2026, on the territory of the Holy Trinity parish in the city of Rostov-on-Don, on behalf of the rector of the parish, Archpriest John Osyak, a new academic year of the Bible circle began for members of the Rostov-October and Rostov-Lenin local organizations of the All-Russian Society of the Blind.

Participants continued their study of the Old Testament. The leader of the Bible circle, assistant rector of the parish for religious education and catechesis Larisa Dorokhova read and discussed with the participants chapters 18, 19 and 20 of the Book of Genesis, dedicated to the visit of Abraham to the Holy Trinity and the events associated with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. The Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes were also repeated during the meeting.

The Bible circle was organized at the request of members of local VOS organizations who took part in the events of the grant projects “Spiritual Vision” and “Light Shines in the Darkness”, implemented by Holy Trinity Parish in 2022 and 2023. The projects were aimed at the spiritual education of people with visual impairments, their churching and inclusion in the life of the Orthodox community.
