In the village of Uvalnaya Bitiya, Sargat district, a solemn ceremony was held to present diocesan awards to volunteers providing assistance to participants in the Special Military Operation. The event began with a short prayer service to the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, which, together with the parishioners, was performed by the abbot of the Sargatsky St. Nicholas Monastery, the dean of the Sargat region, Abbot Seraphim (Maksimov), and the rector of the church in honor of the Holy Blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, Archpriest Gennady Bulov.
With the blessing of Bishop Vikenty of Tarsk and Tyukalinsk, Father Seraphim presented the volunteers of the groups “HELP FOR YOURSELF” and “VOIMYABRATA” from the villages of Nizhneirtyshskoye and Uvalnaya Bitiya with diocesan medals and certificates.
Two days earlier, after the Divine Liturgy, the award ceremony took place in the Alexander Nevsky Church in the village of Nizhneirtyshskoye in the same district.
Among the recipients are kind and sincere women who send help to the front line: weaving camouflage nets much needed by our soldiers, knitting woolen socks, participating in fundraising, collecting and sending humanitarian aid.
