On September 11, 2026, a solemn meeting was held at the Rostov State Musical Theater dedicated to the 89th anniversary of the formation of the Rostov region, in which the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, took part.

Among the honored guests were the Governor of the Rostov Region Yuri Slyusar, the Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Anton Kalinin, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov Region Alexander Ishchenko, the head of the city of Rostov-on-Don Alexander Scriabin, the vicar of the Rostov diocese Bishop Artemy of Taganrog, representatives of the command of the Southern Military District, law enforcement agencies, departments and municipalities of the region.
