On July 9, the 6th Week after Pentecost, the day of remembrance of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe led the Divine Liturgy at the Epiphany Cathedral in Polotsk.

Concelebrating with His Eminence were: Secretary of the Polotsk Diocese Archpriest Alexander Petlitsky, Priest Georgy Odynets, Priest John Gavrilchik, Priest Georgy Dubovsky, Deacon Vladimir Dzhezhora, Deacon Gennady Dzichkovsky, Deacon John Kamenkov, Deacon Boris Marmuzevich, Deacon John Nabokov.

The liturgical hymns were performed by the bishop's choir under the direction of Natalia Semashko.

After the special litany, Bishop Ignatius offered a prayer for the restoration of peace in our land.

At the end of the service, a prayer service and glorification of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God took place. And also a prayer service to the holy martyr Konstantin Zhdanov, presbyter Sharkovshchinsky.

Upon completion, the archpastor addressed the parishioners and clergy of the cathedral with a word of edification.

Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe congratulated the communicants on their reception of the Holy Mysteries of Christ and gave an archpastoral blessing.

Thanks for the article. I'm glad that they also mentioned the holy martyr Constantin Zhdanov at the moleben, I didn't know him very well. The service looks beautiful, especially with Natalia Semasko's choir.

It's good that they mentioned the prayer to the holy martyr Konstantin Zhdanov, I didn't know much about him before either. And Natalia Semashko's choir always sings in such a way that you listen and want to stand still. Thanks for the article.

Thanks for sharing the article. I didn't know much about Hieromartyr Constantine Zhdanov either until they mentioned the moleben for him—makes me want to look up his life. The choir under Natalia Semashko always adds something solid to these services.

It's good that they mentioned the prayer for holy martyr Konstantin Zhdanov, and I didn't know him well until now. Nataliya Semashko's choir always sings so clearly that one stands and does not want to leave. Thanks for the article.

I didn't know much about Hieromartyr Constantine Zhdanov before either, but reading up on him after the service really hit home — he served right here in our area before the arrests. Glad the choir under Natalia Semashko keeps things steady; their singing always helps me stay focused during the moleben. Have you found any good sources on his life yet?
