A conversation about John the Baptist took place in the Novobelitsky districttranslated

In the day care department of the institution “Center for Social Services for the Population of the Novobelitsky District of Gomel” a conversation was held about John the Baptist. The meeting was led by a Sunday school teacher at the parish of the Church of the Holy Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky in Gomel, I. V. Ignatovich.

On September 2, 2026, participants talked about the life and ministry of the prophet, his preaching and the significance of the feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist. Yes, the focus on the last days of the prophet is really good. In our choir last year we sang the exact piece about the beheading, and that's when you realize how serious the story is. Maybe next time they'll actually tell you something about his simple food in the desert, I'd be interested in that too.
