In Nevynsk, the VI Diocesan Choral Festival in Honor of Venerable Bishop Vasily Lukanin Was Heldtranslated

By the blessing of Bishop Nizhntagilsky and Nevynsk Meliton, the VI Diocesan Choral Festival in Honor of Venerable Bishop Vasily Lukanin took place at the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral in Nevynsk on September 19, 2026. The choral festival involved 14 creative ensembles, and the pious forum united more than 100 participants from church and secular ensembles in common prayer and glorification of the Lord. This year, the festival was dedicated to preserving the memory of the new martyrs and confessors of the Russian Church.

Among the participants were the choir of the clergy of the Ekaterinburg Diocese under the direction of Hierodeacon Alexei Rusanov, the choir of the Holy Trinity Cathedral under the direction of Andrei Korobeikin, the Ural Amateur Choir from Yekaterinburg under the direction of Stepan Ivanovich Novgorodtsev, as well as ensembles from the Nizhntagilsky and Alapayevsk Dioceses.

The festival began with a Divine Liturgy presided over by Bishop Nizhntagilsky and Nevynsk Meliton. The choir participants performed hymns during the service.
