September 19, 2026 · 1 min read

On September 19, 2026, in Kizlyar, with the blessing of Archbishop Varlaam of Makhachkala and Derbent, the consecration of the cross took place, which will crown the dome of the newly built bell tower on the territory of the Cathedral of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious.

The Divine Liturgy on this day was led by the secretary of the diocese, rector of St. George's Cathedral, priest Pavel Kalikin, co-served by the rector of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in Kizlyar, Hieromonk Siluan (Isaeva-Baidauri).

At the end of the Liturgy, Father Paul addressed the parishioners with a sermon, and then performed the rite of consecration of the cross.
