A thanksgiving prayer service was held at the Iveron Monastery as part of the Samara Banner festivaltranslated

On September 18, at the Iversky Convent of Samara, His Eminence Theodosius, Metropolitan of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk, performed a thanksgiving prayer within the framework of the VIII International Patriotic Festival “Samara Banner”. The Samara banner has a special connection with the Iveron monastery: the historical banner was made at the end of the 19th century by the sisters of the monastery for the Bulgarian militia. Praying during the service were the clergy of the Samara Metropolis, the nuns of the Iversky Monastery, teachers and students of the Iversky Gymnasium, representatives of the administration of the Samara city district, honorary citizens, representatives of public organizations, residents and guests of the city. At the end of the prayer service, flowers were laid at the monument to Pyotr Vladimirovich Alabin.
