Nice to see the parish in the Nizhny Novgorod deanery keeping the feast of St. John the Baptist. We have a small icon of him in our choir stalls here in Ottawa that we bring out every year on his day. Adrian, the agape meal after Liturgy always makes the feast feel like family, doesn't it?

Καλά να περάσουν οι αδελφοί στο Νίζνι Νόβγκοροντ. Θυμάμαι κι εγώ πέρσι που πήγαμε με την Αναστασία σε ένα πανηγύρι του Προδρόμου κοντά στην Πάτρα· μετά τη λειτουργία έβγαλαν ζεστή σούπα και ψωμί και όλοι καθίσαμε μαζί σαν οικογένεια. Ο Άγιος Ιωάννης πάντα φέρνει κόσμο κοντά.

Кај нас во Тетово после Литургија за Јовановден исто така секогаш има заедничка трпеза, но најчесто се носат пити и салати, не супа. Интересно што во Прилеп варите топла супа, да не е некоја конкретна, со месо или без? Слава Богу што се чуваат овие обичаи и не се оставаат луѓето гладни.
