The Divine Liturgy was performed by the dean of the Shershnevsky deanery, Priest Igor Ermakov, co-served by the rector of the church, Priest Vasily Batalin. Despite it being a weekday, many parishioners gathered for the service. The sermon spoke about the spiritual heritage of St. Nicholas and his intercession. The clergy recalled that the example of the saint helps to learn obedience to God and life according to His commandments: “We believe that if we focus on Nicholas the Wonderworker, we will be able to live our lives in obedience to God, in faithful service to Him.
