On the eve of the new academic year, prayer services were held for schoolchildren, students and teachers in the churches of the Tara diocese. During divine services, believers offered prayers for the granting of the Spirit of Wisdom and Reason to students, so that they could understand and remember good and soul-helping teaching.

Traditionally, such prayer services are held in all parishes of the diocese on the eve of the beginning of the school year. The priests urge young parishioners not to lose heart, to trust in God’s help and to remember that diligent prayer and work are the key to success in any good deed.

Хорошо, что такие молебны проводят каждый год перед учебой. У меня внук в этом году в девятый класс идёт, так что помолились и мы дома, особенно о том, чтобы «разуметь и памятствовать». А то иногда голова совсем пустая после лета.

I agree, Valentina, after the summer everyone’s brains are like a sieve. My eldest daughter is also in ninth grade this year, and at the prayer service in our church we specifically asked for memory and perseverance. What school does your grandson go to?

It's good that these events happen every year. My granddaughter enters the third year of high school this year and after the summer the mind really is like a sieve, as Valentina says. We especially prayed for a "spirit of wisdom and reason", because the lessons this year are heavy.
