Powerboating competitions opened in Gomeltranslated
In Gomel on September 12, 2026, the opening of the Cup of the Republic of Belarus and the CIS Cup in powerboating took place. The participants and spectators were greeted by the cleric of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Priest Vasily Kolomiets.
The priest expressed his joy at meeting familiar athletes and new competition participants on Belarusian soil, warmly noting the presence of a large number of children. He wished the athletes reliable engine operation, high results and victories, and a good mood to all those present.
The competition brought together more than fifty athletes. Among them are representatives of Belarus and various regions of Russia, including St. Petersburg, Kostroma, the Moscow region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
The organizer of the competition is the Gomel regional organization DOSAAF with the assistance of the department of sports and tourism of the Gomel City Executive Committee. Water safety is ensured by OSVOD of the Central region.
