On October 4, 2026, the day of the discovery of the relics of St. Demetrius, Metropolitan of Rostov, an Assembly Day was held at the Don Theological Seminary, dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year.

In the Church of the Mid-Pentecost at the Don Theological Seminary in the city of Rostov-on-Don, the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, celebrated the Divine Liturgy.

His Eminence was served by the vicar of the Rostov diocese, Bishop Artemy of Taganrog, the rector of the seminary, Archpriest Timofey Fetisov, the vice-rector for educational work of the theological school, the rector of the church, Priest Andrei Mironov, the secretary of the Diocesan Administration of the Rostov-on-Don diocese, Priest Dimitry Bolotaev, the head of the events and competitions sector of the Synodal Department of Religious education and catechesis of the Russian Orthodox Church, Hieromonk Trifon (Umalatov), confessor of the seminary, Hieromonk Nikon (Sandulsky), teachers in the priesthood and clergy of the church.

Students of the seminary, teachers and parishioners of the church prayed during the Liturgy.
